Club Spring/Summer Diary (2008)

March

Annual General Meeting
in the clubhouse 8.00pm Thursday 27th

Open Weekend
Saturday 29th 10am to 3pm & Sunday 30th 1pm to 4pm - Get the season off to a flyer and join the regular players for some free tennis – all welcome

April

Ladies & Gents Club mornings
Mondays from 9.00am - Great tennis in a fun social atmosphere throughout the season

Open Evening
(Wed 2nd 7pm-9pm) Join the regular members for some mulled wine and tennis

Juniior Tournament
(7-11th 10.30-1pm) A chance for our talented youngsters to show off.

Wednesday Supervised Club nights
(Wed nights 7-9pm) Just pop along, you don’t need to come with anyone, we’ll ensure you have a good nights tennis.

New Members Welcome Evening

(Wed 7th from 7pm) A must for all new members come and meet the committee and regular players and join in.

(Sat 10th 5pm till late) - What could be better fine food and some great social tennis!

(Sun 11th 2-4pm) A mixture of fun games and activities for our juniors.

Marie Curie charity tennis event

(Sun 25th 1pm -5pm) The highlight of the year where we dig deep and help our good causes with our friends from other local clubs. £5 entry fee.

June

Wednesday Club nights
Just pop along, you don’t need to come with anyone, we’ll ensure you have a good nights tennis.

Presidents & Vice-Presidents tournament
(Sun 1st 12noon to 5pm) This afternoon our President and Vice President host a fun tournament for all senior & intermediate members which includes a buffet lunch.

Senior Open Club Championships
(from Sun 1st to 22nd)

Finals Day & BBQ
Sun 22nd 1pm After all the hard work the finalists treat us to a great days tennis followed by a B.B.Q.

Vets Over 40s & Over 55s Championships
(from Sun 22nd to Aug 23rd) - Draw takes place Sun 22nd June - Now it the turn of our mature members who fight for the silverware.

Junior picnic
(Sun 8th 1-3pm) Another fun packed day for our younger members

July

Junior summer schools
(Weekly) Make sure you enrol early in our summer schools.

Wednesday Club nights
(Wed nights 7-9pm) Wednesday club night continues throughout the summer period but the supervisors take a rest.

August

Vets finals day & BBQ
(Sat 23rd from 1pm) Another excuse for a B.B.Q. not to be missed.

Voters & non-voters tournament
(Sun 31st 2pm-5pm) - Our younger top players show off their skills playing alongside the adults in our final tournament of the year.

Helensburgh & District Junior Championships
(Mon 4th -Fri 8th) - Our top juniors in the district fight it out for the top honours.

Junior Club Championships
(Sun 24th to Sun 7th Sept) - It's the turn of the youngsters show off their talents.
