HLTC has junior teams participating in the West of Scotland leagues in both the girls and boys under 17, under 13 and a boys under 11 team. During the Easter and summer holidays there are supervised daily tournaments for juniors of all standard, age 8 upwards, on weekdays from 10.30am-1pm, and the club kitchen and tuck shop is open during these weeks for lunches and snacks. There will also be an Easter School (2nd & 9th April) and Summer School (5 weeks starting on 2nd July) run this year
Please note that the local Junior District Tennis Tournament is being held from Tuesday 29th July until Friday 1st August at the Club. Entry forms are in the foyer at the Club next to the vending machines or you can email Katie Fulton at k.t.f.4tennis@talktalk.net or phone her on 01436 672569 and she will send a form to you. This is a great tournament and a chance to show off your skills on the court.

LTA Mini-Tennis website
Since launching its own Mini-Tennis Club in 2003, the Club has recruited over 100 members and has 160 plus children participating in weekly coaching programmes.
Mini-Tennis is an LTA initiative designed for junior members between the ages of 4 and 7 (as of 31/12/03).
Mini Tennis is the best way for children to learn tennis. Research shows that it is essential for children up to the age of 10 years to learn the physical skills of running, jumping, balance, co-ordination, throwing and catching as well as basic tennis skills if they are to reach their full sporting potential.
Mini tennis is a fun & easy way to learn the game of tennis and a great way to make lots of new friends.
There are three levels -
• Red - where you can learn the basics.
• Orange - where you develop your skills on a 3/4 size court.
• Green - where you're playing on a full tennis court.Once you're good enough and have mastered green, then you'll move onto tennis.
There's also an award scheme, where kids can collect stickers as they learn skills. There are 9 levels of awards and at the end of each, you'll get a ROGIT.
Don't know what a ROGIT is? Find out more on www.minitennis.com
To supplement the Mini-Tennis the Club now has two purpose-built Mini-Tennis courts, built in 2004, as shown on the right. The courts are located next to the Clubhouse, next to courts 4 & 5.
In the Clubhouse, on the lower level, there is also a Mini-Tennis room, shown on the right, set aside for juniors.
