HELENSBURGH Tennis Club marked the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a tennis and coffee morning today.

PR-Queen-Diamond-Jubilee-official-logo300x400From nine to noon members played social games and enjoyed a coffee, a sandwich, and a cake or three. There was no charge — but those taking part were asked to dress in jubilee colours and wear or bring appropriate items.

The event, which was not a fundraiser, was organised by Anne McKelvie and Phyllis Fullarton.

The emblem on the left is the official Diamond Jubilee logo, chosen as the winning design in a national competition for children aged between 6 and 14. It was designed by 10 year-old Katherine Dewar, from Chester.
