OUT of hibernation now, the daffodils are starting to sprout and Federer is as inspiring as ever. Please find some time over the next few weeks to complete your league matches in preparation for (a) the last month in the winter box leagues, March, (b) your mens team matches, and (c) the club championships.
Any men who are thinking of team tennis, please attend match training every Sunday between 10am and 12 noon to play some organised doubles ties.
There will be a second round Davis Cup match towards the end of the February, so if you have any interest in this, please

HELENSBURGH Tennis Club's Hon Treasurer Jim McDowall is a richer man today . . .
Jim was the first name out of the hat in the Club Lottery for 2010, and wins the January cheque for £20.
Unfortunately not as many members as last year took up membership of the Lottery, so organiser Gay Black has had to reduce the monthly prize to £20 — except for December which will remain at £50. |
